Volunteering

We have many opportunities for service:

• Preparing meals
• Serving meals
• Playing with the kids
• Overnight hosts
• Driving
• Maintenance and repairs at the day center and transitional house
• Helping move
• Helping with fund raising events.
• Technical support

Donating household items

Often our guests come to IHN having lost most, if not all, of their furniture and basic household items. When they are ready to move into permanent housing, we furnish their apartments with new and gently used furniture and household items such as dishes, pans, sheets, small appliances, etc. All items are donated to IHN guest families by the community.

Specific Project needs, for example the Boy Scouts restoring bicyles for kids.
