5th Annual Interfaith Hospitality Network Benefit Concert was held November 18, 2011 at Presentation Hall, Rochester Civic Center.

IHN of Greater Rochester

The Interfaith Hospitality Network of greater Rochester (Minnesota), IHN for short, is a network of volunteers from 49 faith communities who offer food and shelter to families who find themselves homeless.

IHN offers these families the basic necessities of life – food, shelter and security – while they are going through their personal crisis. We give them a chance to regroup, rejuvenate and then get back on their feet with dignity.

The network operates 365 days a year and has room for 14 people. Host churches host families for a week at a time. Buddy and support churches supply volunteers to help serve the families.

In 2010, IHN of Rochester:

Served 24 families/80 people/28 adults/52 children/24 under age 5.
9 found housing/1 transitional housing/6 withdrew/5 terminated/3 in program
7,422 meals served/788 bed nights/2514 beds
12,607 volunteer hours/1851 volunteers/876 training hours/438 trained
765.5 day center volunteer hours/148 day center volunteers
$ 20,653 In-kind donations
